CAIRO – 25 September 2017: Egypt officials will put up tickets for 60,000 Egyptian fans to support Egypt’s national team at Borg El Arab stadium against Congo on Friday for World Cup qualifiers.

Tharwat Swelam, executive manager of the Egyptian Football Association, announced on Sunday that 60,000 tickets will be available for fans on October 2 and 3.

The national team will host Congo on Sunday, October 8 at Borg El Arab atadium in Alexandria at 19:00 CLT, while Uganda will be up against Ghana on Saturday, October 7 at Mandela National stadium in Kampala.

Egypt revived their hopes to reach the World Cup on Saturday, September 5, when they won over Uganda 1-0, thanks to Mohamed Salah’s goal.

Egyptian fans played a great role in Egypt’s two games at home in the qualifiers, they helped the national team to defeat Ghana 2-0 and Uganda 1-0.

On the other hand, Congo lost any hope to qualify to the World Cup in Russia as the team collected one point from four games.

Egypt tops group E with nine points, two points ahead of Uganda who comes second, while Ghana placed third with five points and Congo at the bottom with only one point.
